The Mechelven, abandoned their home in the Fae for pursuits of science and technology. While most of their abilities to manipulate more than two elements were lost, many races of Elves abandoned the Fae to pursue a life in Technology- an event referred to as The Splitting.
Little is known to outsiders of the events that conspired over the period of time short of a million years, except that their plane didn't exist anymore. Few remainders exist in cultured worlds now as the rarely interacted with other realms, but when they did interact, they traded. The founding of their society was when the Blood God himself descended onto seven members of the 'race'. He offered to them, in exchange of impregnating one of the Elder's wives at one period of time. All of them agreed, and a blood pact was forged and a part of the Blood God's realm was set aside for them.
They flourished for over 980,000 years, technology and ideas flowing into their mind like it was natural- their civilization blossoming with the technological advances that took Humans thousands of years, they were in the future of technology in a matter of 500 years. Their resources nearly unlimited from being in a realm that was connected with almost all others.
Their resources vast, they came to a technological advance that allowed them to develop immortality. The secret to their research was from a mixture of help from Celestial beings and fruit from a specific plane-- Jake and his father had headed the research and developed the first sample of 'Life Fruit'. The advance in what was now known as Age Sciences had reached its' maximum potential. And they were spearheading research projects to perfect a place for them to live outside of the blood realm.
